Retaining Wall Collapse - Cornwall

Writer: CRSCRS

Following a period of bad weather, erosion of the ground caused a 4.0m tall retaining wall to collapse resulting in damage to surrounding gardens and a small porch.

Following extensive ground clearance and stabilisation works the retaining structure was constructed using Tobermore blocks. Works were hampered by poor access to the construction area between houses and over varying ground levels.

Soft and hard landscaping was completed on the impacted properties and porch rebuilt on the upper property.
